Final Fantasy XIV PS5 open beta scheduled for April
Final Fantasy XIV is getting a PlayStation 5 upgrade on April 13th, Square Enix has announced.
The open beta of the upgrade will feature significantly faster load times, a high-resolution interface, improved frame rates, support for 4K resolution, and more. Square Enix plans to add more improvements to the PlayStation 5 version over time.
All owners of the game on PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at no additional cost. Additionally, new players can try out the PlayStation 5 upgrade through the free trial.
In other news, Square Enix recently unveiled Endwalker, the next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV. The expansion will introduce new story, two new jobs, a level cap increase, new dungeons and raids, and much more.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
