Xbox Insiders can test new feature that lets players suspend games for full download speeds
The Xbox Insider program is currently testing a new feature that will allow players to suspend whatever game they’re playing in order to get the full download speeds they deserve.
Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie announced the feature’s rollout on Twitter (via Eurogamer), showing that you can suspend whatever game you’re currently playing directly from the download queue.
As Marie states in her tweet, suspending a game allows you to get right back into the action as soon as your download is done, as opposed to having to fully close the game. It appears that this feature is coming to both Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles, as Marie differentiates between resuming a suspended game and the quick resume feature on the next-gen consoles.
Marie also pointed out new banners coming to the Xbox Game Pass library that highlight new additions to the subscription service and games that are leaving soon. This feature should come in handy, especially considering the recent deluge of titles that have come to Game Pass like Octopath Traveler, Yakuza 6, Undertale, and 20 Bethesda games, not to mention Outriders when it launches on April 1st.
Xbox has yet to announce when these new features will exit the Insider program and hit everyone else’s consoles.
