The Callisto Protocol updates address stuttering, frame rate, and crash issues
Striking Distance Studios has delivered updates for the console and PC versions of The Callisto Protocol that aim to address various performance issues.
The developer started with a PC update that improved gameplay stuttering caused by shader compilation. Striking Distance Studios warns that players may encounter stuttering on the menu the first time they launch the game following the update.
This PC update was followed by one for consoles that fixes frame rate and crash issues. Information regarding further improvements to the game will be shared later this week.
“We wanted to clear up any confusion: ray-traced shadows are supported and look great on Xbox Series X. However, we are aware of issues with ray-traced reflections that we are addressing,” Striking Distance Studios added in a follow-up tweet. “More information is coming this week. We appreciate the patience and support.”
The Callisto Protocol is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
