Square Enix temporarily suspends FFXIV’s automatic housing demolition
Square Enix announced last week that it is temporarily suspending Final Fantasy XIV’s automatic housing demolition system to help players who are unable to log in due to COVID-19.
“Taking into account the world-wide spread of the COVID-19 (also known as ‘novel coronavirus’) and the economical effects of various cities going into lock-down, we have decided to temporarily suspend automatic housing demolition,” a message on the Lodestone reads.
Players whose estate or land is already set to be auto-demolished can cancel this status by entering their estate or building one. When the system is resumed, the timer will continue from the time remaining when it was suspended.
As for when the auto-demolish system will be reactivated, Square Enix stated that it “will monitor the situation in the coming days” and inform players when a decision has been made.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
