Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves launches, patch notes released
Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves launched yesterday, May 3rd, which means we got a whole new set of patch notes as well.
Along with the two new maps, new modes, and new battle pass, Season 2 also introduces a lot of balance changes, which developer 343 Industries detailed in the patch notes. Underperforming equipment like the drop wall and the overshield received buffs, meaning they should have a bigger impact in matches. Meanwhile, 343 nerfed melee damage by 10 percent and reduced the Mangler’s starting ammo to rein it in a bit.
One of the biggest buffs was to the Ravager. 343 called it “one of the worst performing weapons” in the patch notes, so the devs decided to bring it back to a 2-burst kill like it was in the tech test. As for vehicles, the Chopper can now boost through all vehicles except for the Scorpion and the Wraith, and the Warthog’s handling on uneven terrain should feel much more reliable.
You can find the rest of the patch notes, which also cover a ton of fixes to the game’s campaign, on Halo Waypoint. There are some things you won’t find in the patch notes, however, such as the game’s campaign co-op, which was delayed to August.
Halo Infinite is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
