Gotham Knights finally has a release date—and it’s fitting

Gotham Knights, the long-anticipated co-op action game starring all the non-Batman Batman heroes, finally has a release date. The game will arrive on October 25th, 2022.

The news came via the game’s official Twitter account, with a quick message you can see below.

That’s a pretty fitting launch date for a game set in the Batman universe, given its proximity to Halloween. Batman and his villains have always leaned into spookiness than most other superheroes, and one of the character’s most iconic stories is even set during the holiday: The Long Halloween.

Plus, Gotham Knights will mark the gaming debut of The Court of Owls, a particularly spooky group of villains from Batman’s rogues gallery.

If you haven’t been following the news, Gotham Knights lets players control Batgirl, Red Hood, Robin, and Nightwing in a Gotham City struggling with the death of Batman. You can take on the story solo, swapping between and leveling up characters however you want, or you can dive in with a friend in co-op.

The game was originally slated to launch in 2021 before it was delayed early last year.

Gotham Knights will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
