Final Fantasy XIV’s automatic housing demolition returns next month
Final Fantasy XIV‘s automatic housing demolition feature will be turned back on in March, Square Enix has announced.
The countdown timer was suspended following the release of Endwalker due to server queues making it difficult for players to get online. However, Square Enix has revealed that “after careful consideration” the feature will resume on March 9th.
“The counter for automatic demolition may be reset for certain estates depending on the usage of housing during the period when estate demolition was suspended,” Square Enix explains. “If an estate hasn’t been built on the plot, the counter may be reset upon entering the estate once it has been built.”
Players who have entered their private estate, or free company estates that have been entered by their leader, during the suspension period, will see their inactivity timer begin counting down from March 9th. While players who did not enter during the suspension period will resume their automatic demolition timer from where it was before the suspension.
All players will be notified via email if their estate is due for automatic demolition within 10 days of the timer restart. Automatic demolition status can also be checked in the Timers window.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
