Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.1 update includes new side quests, PvP changes, and more
Square Enix has shared details about the next major update for Final Fantasy XIV, which is scheduled to release in mid-April.
The update, titled Newfound Adventure, introduces new main scenario quests in which the Warrior of Light will be setting out on a new journey following the conclusion to the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga. Players can also look forward to a new series of side quests featuring Tataru, a new Role Quest, the Ishgardian residential district for housing, and a new dungeon, which is being kept a secret for now.
In addition to the above, the Crystalline Conflict PvP mode will make its debut alongside a new seasonal reward system and PvP action updates.
Other additions include the Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid, job balance adjustments, changes to A Realm Reborn quests, and a new Duty Support System for A Realm Reborn content. Read more about the upcoming update over on the official site.
Looking forward, Square Enix plans to deliver a new Ultimate fight, new Hildibrand adventures, Custom Deliveries for Ameliance Leveilleur, and the introduction of the Data Center Travel system.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
