Final Fantasy XIV 6.08 update buffs several jobs
A number of job balance adjustments have been made as part of Final Fantasy XIV‘s 6.08 update.
According to the patch notes, Paladin, Dragoon, Ninja, Samurai, Machinist, Dancer, Black Mage, and Summoner have all received a number of potency increases to help bring them in line with other jobs. Additionally, the Warrior’s Tomahawk ability got a potency increase and Monk’s Phantom Rush got a nice buff.

Today’s update is also accompanied by the opening of the Oceania Data Center. Starting today, players can create new characters on the data center with character transfers being allowed from January 26th. Players on these worlds receive the following bonuses:
- Free Home World Transfer for players transferring from another World
- Double EXP for both newly created and transferred characters (up to Level 80)
- Gold and Silver Chocobo Feathers exchangeable for special in-game rewards
