FFXIV update adds new Ultimate, makes PvP balance adjustments
Square Enix has delivered Update 6.11 for Final Fantasy XIV.
The highlight of this update is the introduction of Dragonsong’s Reprise (Ultimate). This high-level trial requires players to have reached level 90 and completed Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle (Savage) to take part. Players can claim one reward from the raid each week and can visit Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han for ultimate weapons of the Heavens.
In addition to adding a new trial, Square Enix has took a pass at PvP balance with the release of this update. Warrior’s Bloodwhetting has received a nerf, the Gunbreaker and Black Mage get several buffs, and the potency of Red Mage’s melee combo has been reduced.
Finally, a couple of PvE adjustments have been thrown in for Jobs, including potency increases for Gunbreaker and Samurai as well as a buff for Machinist’s Wildfire. Take a look at the full list of PvP and PvE balance changes in the patch notes here.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
