Dying Light’s Hellraid DLC gets release date
Techland has announced the release date for Dying Light – Hellraid. The fantasy-themed DLC for the popular open-world zombie game launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on July 23rd, 2020 and cost $9.99.
Additionally, the studio announced a beta weekend for Hellraid, starting today and running through June 29th. To gain access, you’ll need to preorder the DLC on PC through Steam.
The Hellraid DLC’s story kicks off when a group of survivors find an arcade machine in the basement of the Tower, only to find their souls sucked into the world of the game, Jumanji-style. To escape, they’ll need to fight their way out. You’ll be able to play through the DLC’s dungeons either solo or with your friends in co-op.
The Hellraid DLC incorporates content Techland originally built for a separate standalone game of the same name. First revealed at E3 2013, Hellraid was to be a first-person fantasy game with a heavy emphasis on melee combat. The project was put on hold in 2015, and now it’s been reborn as new content for Dying Light.
Dying Light is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
