Death Stranding Director’s Cut announced for PS5
Hideo Kojima stopped by Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest kickoff stream to reveal a new project: A PlayStation 5 release of Death Stranding with added content: a Director’s Cut.
The brief trailer showed Sam Bridges (Norman Reedus) inside a new area, one that looked suspiciously like Metal Gear Solid‘s Shadow Moses Island. In another nod to that series, Sam picked up a large cardboard box and practiced hiding in it, before ultimately placing it back on the shelf.
It’s unclear how representative the teaser will be of the expanded content in the re-release, nor what we can broadly expect in terms of new areas.
We’ll apparently learn more about the PS5-exclusive Death Stranding Director’s Cut in just a few short weeks, so stay tuned.
