Call of Duty: Warzone cinematic hints at Season Six arrivals
Activision has released a new cinematic trailer for the sixth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. In it, we get quite a few hints as what players can expect from the upcoming content drop.
The most obvious, of course, is the arrival of new playable operators. This time around, it looks like two more characters from the Modern Warfare campaign will be joining the fray: freedom fighter Farah and Nikolai, head of the Chimera PMCs.
More intriguing, however, is what these new characters are up to. During the cinematic, the pair restores power to the subway system, and then actually rides a train. Shortly after it gets rolling, we see a portion of Warzone‘s Verdansk map, with a circuit of eight labeled markers.
The obviously implication—though it’s far from confirmed—is that players will be able to ride the subways between these stations. Exactly how that will play out, and what impacts it’ll have on strategies in the battle royal shooter, remains to be seen.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Season Six kicks off September 29th.
In other Call of Duty news, the Black Ops Cold War beta kicks off next month following the recent PS4-exclusive alpha.
