Borderlands 3 gets a level cap increase, cross-play, and a seasonal event
Borderlands 3 has received cross-platform play support, a level cap increase, and a new seasonal event, Gearbox Software has announced.
From now on, players on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Stadia will be able to join forces through SHiFT Matchmaking. Sorry PlayStation players, but there is no cross-platform play support for Sony’s consoles. Players can choose to disable cross-play through the options.
Also available now is The Revengence of Revenge of the Cartels seasonal event. The event is the same as last year with players needing to eliminate Cartel Operative around the world to summon in Cartel Thugs and get hold of the Hideout Coordinates. Maurice will then use these coordinates to open a portal to Villa Ultraviolet. This year’s event features a new set of themed cosmetics to unlock through challenges. The following rewards are available:
- 3 Challenges: ‘Cosmic Ring’ ECHO Device Skin
- 6 Challenges:‘Pandora Sunset’ Weapon Trinket
- 10 Challenges:‘Framed Tenderizer’ Room Decoration
- 14 Challenges:‘Digital Horizons’ Weapon Skin
- 18 Challenges:‘Grid Runner’ Vault Hunter Skin
Finally, Gearbox Software has bumped Borderlands 3‘s level cap up by another seven to take the total to 72.
Borderlands 3 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
