Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.2 update gets a release date and trailer
Final Fantasy XIV’s next major update, Buried Memory, will officially release on August 23rd, Square Enix has announced.
The upcoming update includes new Main Scenario quests, the eight-player Pandæmonium: Abyssos raid, The Fell Court of Troia dungeon, and two new types of battle content: Variant Dungeons and Criterion Dungeons. Variant Dungeons are casual content for anywhere between 1-4 players, while Criterion Dungeons are designed for four players and have a “punishing difficulty.”
Another big addition in 6.2 is the Island Sanctuary. All players are getting their own island paradise where they can let their minions roam free, plant crops, collect minerals, and more.
There’s also an Unreal difficulty version of Containment Bay S1T7, adjustments to A Realm Reborn and Heavensward dungeons, the official release of Adventurer Plates, and more.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
