Call of Duty: Vanguard mid-season update includes weapon and perk adjustments
Sledgehammer Games has pushed a new update live for Call of Duty: Vanguard that prepares the game for its mid-season rollout.
According to the patch notes, spawn logic has been improved on small maps, spawns in Control Mode have been significantly adjusted, several sources of crashes and packet burst have been fixed, and Attack/Guard Dog kills now count towards Panzerfaust Camo Challenges. Additionally, camos now appear in the match intro and locked camos and attachments can no longer be swapped onto unlocked weapons.
The mid-season update also contains a number of weapon, equipment, and perk balance adjustments. A couple of examples include a recoil reduction for the M1 Garand, the removal of damage range penalties from Hollow Point ammo, a reduction in the duration of the Mortar Strike, and a change to Fortified to reduce fire damage by 30 percent.
Finally, classic survival gameplay comes to Shi No Numa in Zombies thanks to the new Void Objective. Explore Von List’s Office to find a portal that will transport players to a new area where they will fight endless waves of increasingly difficult zombies. After every three rounds, players can choose to either continue fighting or flee. Every three completed rounds reward 5,000 Essence while surviving 12 rounds grants a reward that prevents perks from dropping below tier two for the rest of the match.
