The Winter Soldier joins Marvel’s Avengers later this month
Square Enix has announced that Marvel’s Avenger‘s next major update is due to release on November 29th.
As part of this update, James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes, who is also known as The Winter Soldier, joins the roster of playable characters. The Winter Soldier is described as “an almost purely assault-focused hero focused on dealing damage to his enemies in a variety of ways.”
This new addition to the roster shares some similarities to Captain America and Black Widow, but has all new animations, a new full skill tree, and unique heroic abilities.
The Winter Soldier is also accompanied by a new heroic mission chain in which the Avengers will help him regain his confidence. Complete this mission chain to earn Bucky’s iconic outfit.
Additionally, the Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat is coming with this update. After being revived, MODOK has taken over AIM’s Cloning Lab and it’s up to the Avengers to put a stop to him.
“As an OLT, Cloning Lab is designed to push a team of four high-level heroes, though it will be of similar accessible length to our previous OLT, Family Reunion,” a blog post explains. “Cloning Lab requires Power Level 175 to enter will reward both new gear and higher-level gear than ever before, with the power-level cap increasing to 185.”
Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
