Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and Sega confirmed for E3 2021
E3 2021 has announced several more major publishers that will be joining this year’s digital event.
According to a press release from the ESA, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Sega, XSEED, and Gearbox have confirmed their presences at E3 2021.
The will be joining Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, and Koch Media, who have all committed to showing up at this year’s virtual-only E3. Ubisoft is also hosting its digital Forward event during E3 on June 12th at 12 p.m. PT.
Square Enix and Bandai Namco both have highly anticipated games in the works in Final Fantasy XVI and Elden Ring respectively, but it’s not clear if we’ll see anything about either game at this year’s event. Elden Ring footage has been leaking sporadically over the last couple of months, so we might get a trailer, but we might not see any gameplay.
As for Final Fantasy XVI, that game is still pretty far off, and it’s more likely to see it during a PlayStation State of Play. Square Enix has already released a few heavy hitters this year, but it’s still got SaGa Frontier Remastered, Nier Reincarnation, and NEO: The World Ends with You coming in 2021.
E3 2021 is taking place from June 12th to June 15th. PlayStation is once again sitting it out.
