Skate reboot will be the first in the series to come to PC
Skate developer Full Circle has confirmed the game will come to Windows PC in addition to consoles. This marks the first time the series will be available on that platform.
The news came in a post from the official Twitter account, accompanied by some live-action footage of a skater tricking over a retro PC monitor. That’s all we get.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how Skate will translate to PC. Given the series’ particular control scheme, which relies on particular analog stick movements to perform tricks, it’s difficult to imagine a reasonable keyboard-and-mouse control scheme. It’s entirely possible the game will only be playable with a controller, even on PC.
We still don’t know much about this new Skate yet. (In fact, we haven’t even seen a single screenshot, which is why the one at the top of this article is actually from Skate 3.) A brief video from Full Circle earlier this year used footage of motion capture sessions, but it did include some curious teases.
The Skate reboot doesn’t yet have a release window.
