New Outriders trailer shows what happened to the first crew that tried to leave Earth

People Can Fly has dropped a brief story trailer for Outriders, and it gives a little backstory for your trip to Enoch.

Starting in 2048, the “No Turning Back” trailer shows what was happening on Earth when the first Enoch colonizers were getting ready to leave. The “best” and “brightest” were picked to be the crew that would head out and find a new home for humanity.

Let’s just so it doesn’t end well for them.

Skipping ahead to 2076, humanity instead turns to the “outcasts” to save the species. Unfortunately, things don’t go totally according to plan on Enoch, either. But, if they did, we wouldn’t have a game, so…

Anyway, here’s the trailer:

If you’re interested in finding out what kind of majesty and horror awaits your colonist on Enoch, you can download the free Outriders demo, which lets you play through the prologue and gives you enough save slots to try all four of the game’s character classes. People Can Fly even patched the demo, adding a motion blur toggle and changing loot drops.

Progress in the demo will carry over to the main game if you decide to pick it up on April 1st, when it launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Epic or Steam, and Stadia.
