Marvel’s Avengers’ War for Wakanda expansion launches next month
Square Enix has announced that the free Black Panther – War for Wakanda expansion for Marvel’s Avengers will launch on August 17th.
The expansion introduces Black Panther as a new playable character, a new biome to explore, two villains to take down, new enemies, and more. There are also new solo or multiplayer Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions within the Wakanda region for players to tackle.
Developer Crystal Dynamics also revealed that it will be holding a War Table stream the day before on August 16th. This War Table will feature new trailers and information about the upcoming expansion and can be seen on the developer’s official Twitch channel starting at 10 a.m. PT.
Finally, a free weekend is now underway for the game on PlayStation, PC, and Stadia. From now through August 1st, players on these platforms can experience the entire game with no restrictions. For existing players, there’s 50 percent off items in the Marketplace and a 400 percent bonus to experience earned during the event.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
