Marvel’s Avengers open beta begins tomorrow
The final beta for Marvel’s Avengers begins tomorrow, August 21st, at 9 p.m. local time on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The beta will be available to all players, regardless of whether they have preordered the game or not, and will last until August 23rd. During the beta, players have access to four characters, four single-player Hero Missions, three HARM Room challenges, four War Zones, and five Drop Zones.
As a reminder, players who link their Square Enix Members and Epic Games accounts and complete all three HARM Room challenges in the beta will receive the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe and Hulkbuster style to use in Fortnite. Two exclusive nameplates can also be earned during the beta to use in the full release of Marvel’s Avengers.
Players who have played in previous betas for the game can pick up where they left off. However, the only thing that will carry over to the full game from the beta are the two exclusive nameplates.
“Our previous beta weekends have already seen millions of gamers spend tens of millions of hours teaming up and smashing enemies as their favorite Super Heroes,” Scot Amos, studio head at developer Crystal Dynamics, said. “We’re really looking forward to opening up the beta to anyone who wants to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC so they too can take the role of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.”
Marvel’s Avengers launches September 4th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
