Final Fantasy XIV’s preliminary patch notes for 6.0 released
Square Enix has shared the preliminary patch notes for Final Fantasy XIV‘s 6.0 update.
The upcoming major update, which accompanies the Endwalker expansion early access, will introduce new cities, reduce the number of aether currents in all Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers areas, and add new main scenario and side quests. 6.0 also brings with it new Role Quests for melee and ranged DPS, which will unlock additional quests after completing them all.
Additionally, Disciple of the Hand or Land can progress through one of five series of quests associated with the different faculties of the Studium. Complete deliveries to progress the story of that faculty.
Update 6.0 also includes new tradecraft and fieldcraft leves, new FATEs that reward bicolor gemstones, and the ability to create a male Viera character. Other changes include new hairstyle options for female Viera, new furnishing items, new Aquarium fish, a new face option for the Midlander Hyur, and more. Of course, some of the new additions in this update are locked behind the Endwalker expansion.
