Epic reduces B.R.U.T.E. spawn rates in Fortnite’s Arena mode

Following the announcement of upcoming changes to Fortnite’s new mech, the B.R.U.T.E, Epic Games has made adjustments to their spawn rate in Arena and tournaments.

In a post on Reddit, the developer revealed that it has lowered the chance for the B.R.U.T.E. to spawn in all circles. Previously, the beginning of the match and the first two circles had a 100 percent chance to spawn one of the mechs. The spawn rate has now been reduced to 21.5 percent at the start of the match, 44 percent in the first circle, and 40 percent in the second circle. Beginning of Match

  • 21.5% chance that between 1-3 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn
    • Previously was 100% chance that between 2-4 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn

Storm 1

  • 44% chance that between 1-4 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn
    • Previously was 100% chance that between 2-4 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn

Storm 2

  • 40% chance that between 1-2 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn
    • Previously was 100% chance that between 1-3 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn

Storm 3

  • 40% chance that between 1-2 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn
    • Previously was 66% chance that 2 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn

Storm 4

  • 10% chance that 1 B.R.U.T.E will spawn
    • Previously was 50% chance that 1 B.R.U.T.E would spawn

Storm 5

  • 3% chance that 1 B.R.U.T.E will spawn
    • Previously was 10% chance that 1 B.R.U.T.E would spawn

Late last week, Epic revealed that it will be adding a laser and directional audio to show the direction the B.R.U.T.E.’s missiles are being aimed in this week’s update.

In other news, a new update was released for Fortnite last week that introduced the Automictic Sniper Rifle and changed Neo Tilted into the Western-themed Tilted Town.
