DIRT 5 progress on PS4 cannot be carried over to PS5
Codemasters has confirmed that DIRT 5 players on PlayStation 4 will not be able to carry over their progress to the PlayStation 5 version of the game.
In a tweet, the developer revealed that progress can be carried over between generations on Xbox. However, on PlayStation, Playgrounds creations can be carried over, but game progress, such as career, currency, and unlocks, cannot.
Previously, Insomniac Games has confirmed that players will be unable to transfer their progress between the PS4 and PS5 versions of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Sega has done the same for Yakuza: Like a Dragon. While Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will support cross-gen saves.
DIRT 5 launches November 6th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with an Xbox Series X/S release to follow on November 10th. The game is also in development for PlayStation 5 and Stadia.
