Yakuza: Like a Dragon launches March 2021 for PS5, current-gen and PC releases moved up

Update: Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has since clarified that players with a physical copy of Yakuza: Like a Dragon on PlayStation 4 will also be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version of the game for free. Sadly, save data will not be transferable between the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game.

Original Story: Sega has announced that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 10th, the same day as the Xbox Series X/S release. However, the previously announced PlayStation 5 version of the game won’t arrive in the West until March 2nd, 2021.

Additionally, the publisher revealed that PlayStation 4 owners who purchase the game through the PlayStation Store can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free at launch. The game will also be available to purchase standalone on Sony’s next-gen console for $59.99.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon launches November 10th for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with a PlayStation 5 release set to follow on March 2nd, 2021. As previously announced, Xbox One owners can upgrade to the Xbox Series X/S version for free via Smart Delivery.
