Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta dates confirmed
Activision has announced two open beta weekends for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
The first of these weekends begin on September 16th with an early access period for PlayStation players. Players who have preordered the game on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 can play from September 16th through September 20th. While all PlayStation owners can jump in without needing to preorder from September 18th-20th.
The second weekend lets Xbox and PC players get into the action. From September 22nd until September 26th, all PlayStation owners can play the game. However, only Xbox and PC players who have preordered the game can play on September 22nd and September 23rd. The beta opens up to all Xbox and PC players on September 24th.
During this second weekend, cross-platform play will be active between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. A rundown of all the important dates can be found below:
- September 16th-17th – Early Access PlayStation
- September 18th-20th – Open Beta PlayStation
- September 22nd-23rd – Open Beta PlayStation and Early Access Xbox and PC
- September 24th-26th – Open Beta PlayStation, Xbox, and PC
The beta will include a number of maps, modes, and progression systems, according to Activision. Additionally, players can earn rewards to use in the full game by taking part in the beta.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launches on October 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
