Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone update adds 200-player mode, nerfs Grau
Activision and Infinity Ward have released a massive update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone on all platforms.
The highlight of the Season 4 Reloaded update is the addition of a 200-player mode for Warzone. Following the update, players will be able to jump into Battle Royale Quads with 199 other players.
Warzone players also get the Spotter Scope, which is a high-powered scope without the glint, and the Juggernaut Royale mode, in which a care package is dropped on the map that allows players to become the Juggernaut. In addition to all this, a new type of Contract has been introduced called Supply Run that requires players to get to a Buy Station within the time limit for a discount.
Elsewhere, several balance changes have been made to weapons, including nerfs for the Grau 5.56 and MP5. The former has received a damage range reduction and an increase to high frequency recoil, while the latter has had its damage range decreased, 10MM damage range decreased, and 10MM ammo long-range damage decreased.
Finally, the update adds the Rytek AMR sniper rifle and introduces the Team Defender mode and Chesire Park multiplayer map to Modern Warfare. Read the full patch notes here.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
