Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PC requirements revealed

Activision has confirmed the full system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ahead of the campaign’s early access period.

To simply run the game, players need a rig with at least an i3-6100 or Ryzen 3 1200 processor, a GTX 960 or RX 470 graphics card, and 8 GB of RAM. However, those wanting to play at 60 FPS with high graphics settings need an i5-6600K or Ryzen 5 1400 processor, a GTX 1060 or RX580 processor, and 12 GB of RAM.

  • Minimum: Intel Core I3-6100 / Core I5-2500K OR AMD RYZEN 3 1200
  • Recommended: Intel Core I5-6600K / Core I7-4770 OR AMD RYZEN 5 1400
  • Competitive: Intel Core I7-8700K OR AMD RYZEN 7 1800X
  • Ultra 4K: Intel Core I9-9900K OR AMD RYZEN 9 3900X

Early access for the campaign is scheduled to begin tomorrow, October 20th, at 10 a.m. PT, with players able to preload from today, October 19th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 officially launches on October 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
