Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 5 detailed
Activision has revealed all of the new content coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone during Season 5.
Starting with the new Operators. At launch, players will be able to unlock Kitsune, the “self-taught cybersecurity expert and world-class thief” by purchasing the Battle Pass. Later in the season, Stryker and Adler’s old colleague Hudson will be joining NATO.
There are also four new weapons joining the game’s available arsenal in Season 5, including the EM2: Assault Rifle and TEC-9 SMG at launch through the Battle Pass. The Cane melee weapon will also be available at launch, with the Marshal double barrel pistol being adding during the season.
In addition to the above, Black Ops Cold War is getting its own version of Among Us with the new Double Agent mode. This “investigative multiplayer party experience” splits players into three roles and tasks them with discovering the Double Agents before they eliminate everyone or set off the explosives. Get a quick look at this new addition in the trailer below:
Five new multiplayer maps are also being added to the game. Echelon (6v6), Slums (6v6), and Showroom (2v2 and 3v3) will be available from launch, while Drive-In (6v6) and Zoo (6v6) are coming during the season.
Other additions include the Flamethrower scorestreak, the Death Perception perk for Zombies, a new Outbreak region, new Prestige ranks, and more.
As for Call of Duty: Warzone, players can look forward to two new perks: Combat Scout and Tempered. The former makes it so damaging an enemy will briefly highlight and ping them, while the latter makes armor plates absorb 75 damage instead of 50 at the cost of only being able to equip two plates.
There’s also a new Rush Gulag map, new Points of Interest, and the 50v50 Clash mode. Read more about the upcoming season here.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
