Ubisoft reveals when its next Forward event is happening
Ubisoft has announced when its next Forward event is happening, as well as which games will be featured.
The digital event will occur on Thursday, September 10th at 12 p.m. PT, with a pre-show kicking off at 11 a.m. PT.
As far as what games were advertised in the trailer for the event, we spotted Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Siege, Hyper Scape, and what appears to be an open-world game that bares a strong-ish resemblance to the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters.
Watch Dogs: Legion‘s inclusion in the show is no surprise, considering the game launches on October 29th, giving it another marketing push going into the last month prior to its release. And Hyper Scape, which just revealed its first major patch, will likely get some kind of content announcement, such as a Season 2 release date. Rainbow Six Siege, meanwhile, will most likely reveal its Year 5 Season 3 release date, as well as hopefully giving us a hint at what we can expect in Season 4.
It’s the last game on the list that’s got us the most interested, as Gods & Monsters was originally supposed to launch in February before it was delayed along with Watch Dogs and Rainbow Six Quarantine. Ubisoft previously stated that all three games were scheduled to launch sometime between April 2020 and March 2021, but the publisher’s release slate is already pretty packed, especially now that Far Cry 6 is confirmed for a February 2021 release.
In other Ubisoft news, the publisher recently revealed how it plans on letting players upgrade Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Far Cry 6 from current-gen to next-gen. It also might have inadvertently revealed Sony’s big-if-true plans for backwards compatibility on the PlayStation 5.
