Yae Miko debuts in Genshin Impact’s 2.5 update
Genshin Impact‘s next major update, “When the Sakura Bloom,” will officially launch on February 16th, developer miHoYo has revealed.
The upcoming update will introduce a new playable character named Yae Miko. The five-star Electro Catalyst user can provide both constant damage off-field and high burst damage on-field with her Elemental Skill and Burst. In addition to Yae Miko, Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi will be returning through Event Wishes.
Update 2.5 also features the “Three Realms Gateway Offering” seasonal event in which players will have to explore an area based on Enkanomiya that is haunted by unknown darkness. While in this area, characters will accumulate corrosive darkness, which can be dealt with using a new gadget called the Bokuso Box. Players can open chests, unlock Waypoints, and complete exploration objectives in the event area to level up the Bokuso Box. The rewards on offer include Primogems and the 4-star catalyst weapon, Oathsworn Eye.
Additionally, new enemies will begin appearing in Inazuma, including Standard Bearers, Line Breakers, and Defenders.
Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
