Xbox system update brings major improvements to Quick Resume function

Xbox’s May update has brought major improvements to the Series X/S’ Quick Resume function.

Not only will users be able to see what games support Quick Resume, but they will also see which games are currently saved under Quick Resume. Series X/S users can find a new Group under the “My games & apps” tab for currently saved Quick Resume titles.

The next update also introduces passthrough audio for media apps. This means that Xbox owners can now use compatible HDMI devices to bypass the console. The audio will then head straight for your external sound system without taking that extra layover.

There are also several quality of life improvements in the May update. Game Pass now lets you watch trailers when browsing games, and new dynamic backgrounds for Series X/S include motes.
