The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced is now live
The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
This upgraded version of the game bumps the FPS up to 60 and features improved draw distances, better shadows and textures, and updated reflections and ambient occlusion. Additionally, antialiasing now uses TAA, depth of field is better, and loading times have been “nearly cut in half on average.”
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, players will have two graphics modes to choose from: Performance and Fidelity. In Fidelity mode, the game outputs at native 4K (1440p on Series S) and 30 FPS, while Performance mode runs at 1440p/60FPS on PS5 and Series X and at 1080p/60 FPS on Series S. The only difference between the modes on PS5 and Series X are the resolution and framerate.
On Xbox Series X/S, the Console Enhanced update should begin downloading automatically. If not, players will be prompted to upgrade when starting the game. While on PlayStation 5, players will be asked to choose which version of the game they wish to run at launch and will then be taken to the PlayStation Store to begin downloading the upgrade.
The Elder Scrolls Online is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
