The Division 2 will be free to play this weekend
To celebrate the upcoming release of The Division 2‘s ninth season, Ubisoft has announced that the game will be free to play this weekend.
From May 13th through May 15th, players on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia can play the Standard Edition of The Division 2 for free. Ubisoft notes that Xbox players will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to access the free weekend.
As revealed yesterday, Season 9: Hidden Alliance will be available to all players who own the Warlords of New York expansion and introduces a new 8-player PvE mode called Countdown, two new Apparel Events, and a new Season Pass full of rewards to work through. Additionally, Season 9 adds Expertise, a new way for players to upgrade their equipment by either using it in combat or investing resources into research. Season 9: Hidden Alliance launches May 12th.
The Division 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia.
