SpellForce 3’s Reforced upgrade arrives on PC
THQ Nordic has delivered the previously promised free Reforced upgrade for the PC version of SpellForce 3.
This upgrade improves the game’s campaign by introducing improved RTS mechanics and reworked RTS faction, updated skill trees with new spell mechanics, improvements to quest flow, and changes to loot progression. There are also changes to AI balance, an overhaul for crafting, and a complete rework of the hub.
Other changes include an enhanced UI that was used in the expansions, full gamepad support, and a new Skirmish map called Bitter Canyon.
Reforced also adds a new Journey Mode, which is “similar to the original SpellForce’s ‘Free Game Mode’, providing more than 20 hours of unique content and a lot of replay value,” according to the publisher. Additionally, players can fight PvP skirmish matches using their Journey Mode heroes in Journey Skirmish.
SpellForce 3 Reforced is coming to PlayStation and Xbox on March 8th, 2022.
