PlayStation 5 just got another launch title

The Pathless, Giant Squid’s stylistic open-world action game, is launching on November 12th for the PlayStation 5, PS4, PC via the Epic Games Store, and Apple Arcade.

The game was most recently shown off during PlayStation 5’s Future of Gaming event, and it will take advantage of the next-gen console’s 3D audio and the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback feature.

Published by Annapurna Interactive, The Pathless eschews a lot of traditional open-world design like maps and markers, encouraging context-based exploration and liberal use of the game’s fluid movement mechanics.

“With no map, we knew it would be important for every building, every landmark, every grove and vista to stand out and serve as a memorable spot to help you find your own path through this land shrouded in darkness,” creative director Matt Nava recently stated in a PlayStation blog post.
