Outriders update addresses inventory wipe bug
A new update has been released on PC and consoles for Outriders that should put a stop to the inventory wipe bug that has been affecting players.
Developer People Can Fly noted that players may occasionally encounter multiplayer connectivity issues followed by inventory items becoming invisible after the update. This is expected as part of “three-step inventory safeguarding measures” and players simply need to restart their game or wait a few minutes and then restart to make the items reappear. However, if a full wipe occurs after this update, then players should report it in this Reddit thread.
“While we are confident that the patch will prevent inventory wipes in future, we do want to use the weekend to continue monitoring the situation and ensure that no more players are encountering any related issues before we move onto the restoration process,” the developer explained.
People Can Fly is still planning to do a one-time mass-restoration that should restore most of the items lost. More information about when this will occur will be shared once the developer is satisfied that the prevention update is working.
Outriders is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
