Gotham Knights to get 4-player co-op mode, Heroic Assault, post-launch
Gotham Knights will get a four-player cooperative multiplayer mode called Heroic Assault about a month after the game launches.
Heroic Assault “provides a dedicated arena-like environment with specific objectives to complete and enemies to defeat on each floor,” according to the game’s website. There will be 30 floors total, though it’s not clear if the game will randomize objectives and enemies each time you play the mode.
Those who own Gotham Knights can download Heroic Assault—which will be a standalone mode that will not impact the game’s story—on November 29th. That’s a month and some change after the game’s October 21st release date.
Gotham Knights was set to launch for both current- and last-gen consoles, but WB Montréal cancelled the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases to focus on the current-gen and PC versions. The game recently received a cinematic launch trailer.
