Genshin Impact’s roadmap includes new events and a new area
Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has revealed a roadmap for the game that covers the first three major updates.
First up is update 1.1, which is scheduled to arrive on November 11th and will introduce the Unreconciled Stars event. Following this on December 23rd will be update 1.2, which opens up the Dragonspire area and a related event for players to work through. The final planned update is due to launch in February 2021 and includes the Lantern Rite event.
“We are always experimenting with different optimization methods to bring you better content, and even now, the development of multiple versions is proceeding simultaneously to ensure that content will continue to roll out in a stable manner,” the developer said.
“In future versions, we will combine the unique cultural and calendarial features of in-game regions with dates in the real world to host unique events in Mondstadt and Liyue. (e.g. Ludi Harpastum and the Windbloom Festival in Mondstadt, or Lantern Rite and the Moonchase Festival in Liyue).”
Yesterday, miHoYo kicked off Genshin Impact’s first in-game event: Elemental Crucible. The co-op event tasks players with defeating waves of monsters to spawn Elemental Clots that must be fed into the Crucible. Players can earn XP, Primogems, and more during the event by completing tasks in the Alchemy Handbook.
Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile.
