Genshin Impact’s 1.1 update adds new characters, reputation system in November
Genshin Impact’s first major update, titled A New Star Approaches, is scheduled for November 11th on PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile.
The upcoming update brings with it four new characters for players to obtain. These include the five star characters Childe, a hydro archer, and Zhongli, a geo polearm user who deals massive AOE damage. Joining these two are the four star characters Xinyan and Diona.
In addition to these new characters, players are getting a new seasonal event called Unreconciled Stars. During the two-week event, players must fight back against a sudden catastrophe threatening Teyvat to earn a free copy of Fischl and other rewards.
The final big addition is the reputation system. Following the update, players can build up their reputation in each of the game’s regions to unlock rewards and new region-exclusive items and customization options.
Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile. The game will also be playable on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility “with improved graphics and faster loading times.”
