Fortnite’s Winterfest event offers 14 free presents
Epic Games has kicked off the Winterfest event in Fortnite, offering players free gifts, challenges, and more.
During the event, players can use the new snowflake tab in the menu to visit the Winterfest Lodge. While in the lodge, players can choose one of 14 presents to open and obtain a free gift, as well as check the stocking above the fireplace to obtain a new challenge. Return to the lodge each day to unwrap a new present and get a new challenge.
Inside these presents, players will find two outfits, two gliders, two pickaxes, two wraps, an emote, and more. One of the more surprising free items is a Millennium Falcon glider and it’s not hard to work out which present it is in. Epic notes that all of these items will be exclusive to this year’s Winterfest, so don’t miss out.
In addition to the free gifts and challenges, the developer will be unvaulting a weapon each day and bringing back some favorite limited-time modes, including Wick’s Bounty and Arsenal.
In other news, Epic released a new update for Fortnite earlier today that introduced the Battle Lab, a new feature that allows players to create custom game modes on their own version of the Battle Royale island.
