Doom Eternal’s PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade has arrived
The previously announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade for Doom Eternal is finally available.
Following the update, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X can choose between three graphics modes: Ray Tracing Mode at 1800p/60 FPS, Performance Mode at 1800p/120 FPS (1584p/120 FPS on PS5), and Balanced Mode at 4K/60 FPS. There’s also HDR 10 support, ultra-quality graphics settings, and cross-gen multiplayer support for Battlemode.
While on Xbox Series S, the game runs in either Performance Mode at 1080p/120 FPS or Balanced Mode at 1440p/60 FPS. There is no support for ray tracing on Series S. Bethesda also notes that all of these resolutions use dynamic resolution scaling.
In addition to the upgrade, the update brings with it a new Master Level for players to tackle and a new arena called Corrosion for the 2v1 Battlemode.
Doom Eternal is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
