Doom Eternal pushed back to 2020
Bethesda and id Software have delayed Doom Eternal from its November release date to March 20th, 2020.
“To make sure we’re delivering the best experience – for Doom Eternal to live up to our standards of speed and polish – we’ve made the decision to extend our launch date by a few months to March 20, 2020,” a message from the developer reads. “We know many fans will be disappointed by this delay, but we are confident that Doom Eternal will deliver a gaming experience that is worth the wait.”
The developer also revealed that the game’s multiplayer offering, Invasion Mode, will arrive after the game’s launch via a free update and that the Nintendo Switch version will launch after other platforms.
In addition to the above, it was announced that Doom64 will be included with Doom Eternal as a preorder bonus on all platforms. Doom64 launches on March 20th, 2020.
Doom Eternal is in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
