Corona Relief Done Quick raises more than $400,000 for charity
Corona Relief Done Quick, the latest speedrunning marathon from Games Done Quick, has raised more than $400,000 for charity.
The three-day online-only event raised a total of $402,558 for Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization that aims to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.
During the event, a total of 50 games were run, including Halo: Combat Evolved, Alien: Isolation, Resident Evil 7, Pokémon Sword, and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. VODs of all the event’s runs can be watched on Games Done Quick’s Twitch channel.
Next up for Games Done Quick is the recently postponed Summer Games Done Quick. The event is scheduled to run from August 16th through August 23rd in Bloomington, MN, and all money raised will benefit Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
