Control 2 officially announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC

Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games have announced a sequel to 2019’s Control.

The game is being co-developed and co-published between the two companies for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC using Remedy’s Northlight engine. Control 2 is currently in the “concept stage.”

“With Control, we leaped into the unknown. We wanted to create something new. Something different and unexpected. A world like no other. Thank you, the audience, for making Control such a success for us,” Mikael Kasurinen, Game Director of the Control Franchise, said in a blog post.

“With Control 2, we’ll take another leap into the unknown. It’ll be an unexpected journey. It’ll take a while, but to put it mildly, this is the most exciting project I’ve ever worked on. It’s still early days, but it will be worth the wait.”

Last year, Remedy and 505 Games revealed that a four-player co-operative multiplayer Control spin-off with the codename “Condor” is also in development.
