Call of Duty: Warzone hits 15 million players
Just a couple of days after announcing six million players, Activision has revealed that Call of Duty: Warzone has now reached the 15 million players milestone.
To compare this figure, Epic Games’ free-to-play battle royale Fortnite took two weeks to reach 10 million players. While Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends was sitting at 10 million players after three days and went on to reach 25 million players after one week.
Warzone released early last week and allows players to take part in two game modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. The Battle Royale mode sees 150 players fighting to be the last squad standing as a circle of deadly gas continually closes in. Plunder tasks squads with amassing more money than their opponents by completing contracts, looting, and taking it from enemies.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now as a free download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Warzone can also be accessed via Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
