Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3 update adjusts LMGs and Shotguns
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 3 update brings with it a number of balance adjustments for light machine guns, shotguns, assault rifles, and more.
Starting with the LMGs, the Stoner 63 (Light Machine Gun Alpha) has had its max damage and range reduced, an increase in vertical recoil, and a reduction in ADS speed. While the RPD has had its max damage increased and max range and ammo capacity reduced. The final LMG changes are for the M60 and include a reduction in max range and ADS speed, and an increase in the chance for a horizontal kick when hip-firing.
Moving onto the shotguns. The Streetsweeper has received a huge nerf with the removal of its one-shot kill potential, a massive decrease in max damage, and a reduction in mid-range damage. Additionally, the Hauer 77 has had its max range increased and the Gallo SA12 (Shotgun Bravo) got an increase to mid-range damage and mid damage range.
Other changes include an increase in the Krig 6’s headshot multiplier, an increase in max damage and a reduction in max range for the AUG (Tactical Rifle Charlie), and a reduction in sprint speed for all SMGs. Read the full patch notes here.
