Blizzard temporarily removes Mei from Overwatch 2
Mei is the latest Overwatch hero to be put on the shelf due to a bug.
In a message posted on the Overwatch 2 official forums, Blizzard explained that Mei is being temporarily disabled “to address a bug with her Ice Wall ability that allowed heroes to reach unintended locations when used with their abilities.” Mei is due to return to the game on November 15th.
Previously, Blizzard was forced to remove Bastion and Torbjörn from the game due to bugs. Both heroes returned alongside the Halloween event late last month.
In other news, Blizzard recently revealed a number of hero balance changes that it will be delivering later this month. Sombra, Zarya, and more will have their power levels reduced as part of this update.
Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
