Apex Legends update nerfs Peacekeeper
Respawn Entertainment pushed a balance update live for Apex Legends late last week that adjusted the power of the Peacekeeper shotgun.
Players have been complaining about the shotgun’s strength since an update earlier this month that increased pellet width, meaning that more pellets land and more damage is dealt.
This balance adjustment aims to counteract that change by increasing the rechamber time from 1.1 seconds to 1.2 seconds and decreasing the headshot multiplier from 1.5 to 1.25. However, judging by the community response, these changes still aren’t enough.
In addition to the pellet change, the update released earlier this month introduced a Duos mode for a limited time, revamped the training ground with the addition of a firing range, and added the ability to reroll daily challenges.
Apex Legends is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
